  • Rough Island is one of only a couple of Drumlins in Mulroy Bay
  • Rough Island has evidence of human settlement
  • The Gull Islands are a breeding ground for Herring Gulls in particular.
  • Could be used as barometers for the environmental health of Mulroy Bay and basis for Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan
  • Could be demonstration models of reversion to natural state.

  • Management plans have been suggest regarding the reversion to natural state. These need to be followed through.
  • Develop a monitoring programme that can provide baseline data for the monitoring of Mulroy Bay.
  • Instigate the development of a Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan for Mulroy Bay
