The Irish Sea Leatherback Turtle Project is collaboration between the University of Wales Swansea and University College Cork. Its aim is to understand the populations, origins and behaviour of leatherback turtles in the Irish Sea. Jellyfish often wash up on our beaches and turtles like to eat jellyfish. MCS is the UK's national charity dedicated to the protection of the marine environment and its wildlife. Each year it produces the Good Beach Guide. The Good Beach Guide is a comprehensive and independent guide to the quality of coastal bathing waters in Britain and Ireland. Only beaches which meet EU Guideline values are included. The Blue Flag office is delighted that Irish Blue Flag beaches have been included. The Good Beach Guide recently featured in The Times UK list of '100 Best Travel Websites.
