Meet at 11 a.m. Nature Walk – Ards Friary Nature Trail The An Taisce Autumn Nature Walk along the Ards Friary Nature Trail starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday Sept 29th.

It will begin at the Ards Friary Car Park and take in the varied woodland types and ages of Ards Forest in the path that leads to the Lucky Shell Beach. From there it will go around the headland with its spectacular views and vistas. It will explore the great variety and beauty of nature at this harvest time in the many types of habitats such as species rich grassland, heath, woodland, rugged seashore and beaches. The guide is Aengus Kennedy, Nature NorthWest, a Donegal nature guide of many years’ experience, a knowledgeable and entertaining guest on Highland Radio and a frequent visitor to national schools for nature talks and promoting Green Schools.

Everyone is welcome, admission is free, no need to book. Suitable for all age groups. Guide dogs only please. By kind permission of Fr. Richard of Ards Friary
