Why we need your membership?
- The number of planning applications we deal with is 3 times the volume of what we dealt with a decade ago.
- To maximise our mandate as a prescribed body under planning and development acts, in addition to forestry, waste, and aquaculture licencing, we need more environmental and planning staff.
- We also need to increase resources for advocating improved environmental performance in a positive and proactive way with a range of sectors.
- We need to invest more in our 13 heritage properties. Some include: The Boyne Navigation Canal, Kanturk Castle, Howth Courthouse, Tailors’ Hall, Booterstown Marsh in South County Dublin and Gort Weigh House in Galway. All of these properties are managed at minimal cost.
- We need your practical help and involvement in areas that you can bring your strengths and enthusiasm.
