An Taisce will hold an open meeting in Tailors Hall on Saturday 8th December from 2.00 - 3.30pm on genetically modified organisms (GMO), and specifically to debate the Teagasc trial of GM blight-resistant potatoes.

The meeting will be chaired by Prof. John Sweeney, president of An Taisce and the speakers will be Suzanne Campbell (agricultural journalist), Ewen Mullins (scientist at Teagasc who is leading the project) and Eanna Ní Lamhna (past president of An Taisce, biologist and environmental consultant).

There will be an opportunity for general discussion following the speakers' presentations. It is an open meeting with no entrance charge, but as space is limited booking is essential here
