This 19th century building is a three-storey over basement structure on Sarsfield Street. It is paired with the former Ryalls Bank and has timber fluted Doric door-cases. There is a single storey three bay block to the south with limestone dressings and pediment over central bay. It has been vacant for a number of years since closure of hotel.

A planning application has been submitted in 2019 for the maintenance of historic buildings in conjunction with a new development. There is no immediate danger of collapse but the condition is such that unless urgent remedial works are carried out the building will sharply deteriorate. This building urgently requires conservation works and a new use to be identified to prevent integral features being gradually lost.
