Most of the external fabric remains, but there are obvious signs of deterioration There is no immediate danger of collapse but the condition is such that unless urgent remedial works are carried out the building will sharply deteriorate.
The building which was home to the Trench family has been vacant for over 40 years now, The building was previously exposed through serious fire damage and is currently in the ownership of a local farmer. The Heritage Council released funding for emergency repairs which were carried out to secure the roof. This building urgently requires new uses to be identified to prevent further deterioration of its character.
Work has been carried out on repair of damaged section of roof to protect building from further deterioration.
