Minutes of 2019 AGM

Members may view the minutes of last year's AGM here. At this year's AGM, members will be asked to approve last year's minutes.

Statement of Accounts

Our 2019 Audit is being carried out by Woods & Partners. Due to complex accountancy work needed to comply with reporting requirements of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, our accounts are delayed. We aim to have accounts for members in time for our planned EGM at the end of October.

Motion to adopt a new Constitution will need an EGM

We will need an EGM in October with a special resolution if we are to change our Constitution. The upcoming AGM is another opportunity for members to debate the issues.

In seeking to improve compliance with the recommendations for good governance practice as contained in the Charities Governance Code, and conscious of the need to better define the respective roles and responsibilities of Council and Board within the organisation, members approve the adoption of the Constitution that is available here.

Comments from members on the draft Constitution are most welcome. The text is subject to change while it is reviewed by the CRO and the Charities Regulator.

For comparison, the current Memorandum & Articles of Association of An Taisce is available here.

Council Election

There have been no nominations for Council, so there will be no vote at this AGM.
