Herbal Workshop in Serenity Community Garden

National An Taisce Event
Saturday, July 12, 2014
Venue:
Serenity Community Garden, Phibsborough, Dublin 7

Serenity Community Garden, Phibsborough, Dublin 7. Saturday July 12th 2014, 12 noon till 3pm (approximately).

This interactive workshop provides a practical introduction to the Identification, harvesting, drying and processing of some of our common herbs.

We are surrounded by native herbs or 'weeds' which nurture, heal and strengthen us. Most of these are available to us free of cost and many grow in our community gardens, local woodlands and our own backyards. During the three hour workshop we will be exploring the basics of our herb lore. We will take a walk around the beautiful Serenity Garden & see if we can find some herbs to work with fresh on the day. We will work to make a herbal tea, a herbal tincture, a spray and an infused wine! Everyone who attends will take home what we make on the day.

Please bring a notebook & pen, some gardening gloves, an old jam jar, and a paper carrier bag.

We look forward to seeing you all there on the day. If you have any questions or wish to book a place then please contact Robert Moss on 01 4002212 or email rmoss@eeu.antaisce.org
