19th May 12 noon.  Meet at the viewing area at the traffic lights junction of Trimleston Ave and Merrion Road, Booterstown.

12 pm Bird talk and walk with Sean Hogan,

1.30 pm Plant walk and talk with Catriona Brady

No need to book.

Burren Field Trip

A Burren Field Trip will take place on Tuesday 21st May starting at 2pm, meeting in Corofin, Co Clare at the Burren National Park information centre. 

Wear strong shoes, rain protective clothing and bring a bottle of water. Transport will be provided. Please contact Anny Wise at [email protected] to book and advise if you need to be collected from Ennis railway station.

 

The Grove, Morehampton Road

Join us on the 18th and the 25th of May to celebrate urban biodiversity at the Grove, on the corner of Morehampton Road and Clyde Road, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. All are welcome to come and share this delightful arboreal sanctuary in the heart of Dublin.

Schedule for the 18th:

10.30 am Wildlife Wizards family workshops on plants, potting, pond sweeping, bug hunting and animal art.

1 pm Kerkus Forest School activities including a nature trail hunt and leaf imprinting.

2.30 pm Tree planting to support the Grove’s biodiversity

Schedule for the 25th:

10.30 am Wildlife Wizards family workshops on plants, potting, pond sweeping, bug hunting and animal art.

12 pm Gustavo Zoladz, Wildlife Photographer, a Photography Wildlife Workshop sharing his knowledge, skills and tips on how to photograph shy and secretive animals. You can enter the Biodiversity Week Photographic Competition with your pictures!

1 pm Smiling Kids Yoga with Ciara Bonner. Children’s woodland yoga, fun and stories while improving balance flexibility and strength.

2.30 pm Afternoon Art with Art Tutor and Heritage Guide Jo Callanan.
